i.e The shopping areas, the people, traffic, whats it like getting from A to B via car, loadsa a traffic or roads quite clear.

West Riding has 1,771,562 acres, and is now the largest area of Yorkshire since the Government moved the boundaries in 1975.

West Yorkshire has always been a place of great industry with centuries of textiles, quarrying, mining and steel. The mighty “Industrial Revolution” was born in West Yorkshire, with the towns of Bradford, Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Sheffield and Huddersfield, all prospering during the 19th Century.

Bradford Textiles Industry dates back as far as the 13th century, but it was not until the 19th century that it became world famous. Yorkshire boasted plentiful supplies of iron ore, coal and soft water which were used in cleaning raw wool. Sandstone, Bradford's local stone, provided an excellent resource for the building of the mills, and the large population of West Yorkshire meant there was a readily available workforce. It was famous for wool, cotton and silk production.

is there life in Pontefract?.....since the Pontefract cake became obsolete(friggin shame cos they were lush) I doubt anyone still lives there.
