Soon after September 11, 2001 most Americans were supporting a military action against those assumed to be responsible. The emotions were too high people weren't thinking right. However, in recent years, as people calmed down a little bit, many Americans are critical of these wars and speak loudly against it. I can't say that most Americans are against the war right this moment, but many are discovering that the excuses weren't all true as we were told previously. In time I hope that the majority of our people will get to discover the whole truth and then we will see the majority of Americans standing against the war and demanding our government to rejoin the rest of the planet.

I'll agree to peace when the terrorists agree to peace. Oh wait, they haven't? Okay.
I guess Pearl Harbor had nothing to do with the U.S. entrance into WW2.
If this current war is about fuel then why am I paying almost $3 a gallon for gas?
It's incredible that the tables seem to be turned. The democrats (who claim to be "for the people" and against oppression anywhere in the world - read Tibet) are against getting rid of Saddam and the apparently didn't really think the Taliban was so bad as well. I suppose they are for the Hezebollah as well.
Anything just to ensure the blame is laid at Bush's feet. Let's not blame the correct party - the Muslim extremists who hate all westerners and would kill a liberal as well as a conservative. If you're a woman, you might as well put on a burka and if you're a man you better toe the line and not speak out against Islam or you are dead.

Ok... If you believe the war is strictly happening because of oil, then let's say this war is over oil...any clue at all what would happen to this country if the middle-east should decide to STOP giving us oil?..? and the only place we could get oil was from Iraq because we helped save their country from a tyrant.
And, I don't think ANYONE, whether it be President or a regular, hardworking American want to see men or women who ENLISTED in the armed forces to serve their country, to protect us, die. You also should get some facts straight...we have not invaded "half the planet"...As for peace...that is something that many in the Middle East countries do not want...they want to kill Americans...have you heard this at all? I would love to live in a peaceful world...but other countries will never allow that to happen.

We toppled the government of Iraq. That's one. We along with 30 other countries that is. We are in Afghanistan again with 30 other countries. .....Where else are we? Has war started up that I'm not aware of? I certainly do not count 2 as half the planet. You are giving way too much geography to Iraq and Afghanistan.
I recommend a new globe.

Understand this. Muslims represent the world's largest religion. Enough of them are fanatic to the point that they are willing to kill all who are not Islamic. It's Pax Americanus. If America doesn't stop them, who will? Pay the freight and and live free.

According to my economics professor, war is good for the U.S. economy. That's why we joined WW2, WW1 and the other wars.
