Hmm! Well, I grew up in the Cleveland area too and I always thought that, but now I go home to visit and I actually enjoy it for the things it doesn't have: the rudeness, high cost and insane traffic of larger cities. It is actually very pretty in a lot of places outside the city. It just gets boring if you can't get out of Ohio on occasion to see other things.

I go to school in Indiana and live in New York.

Ohio is the worst place possible...you have to go through the whole state to get home/to school and it takes forever!!!

And the cops watch you like hawks, which sucks.

On the way to school Cleveland sucks, because the destination (school) is still 4 hours away.

On the way home Cleveland is awesome, because it means only an hour left in Ohio!!!

So I guess its all about perspective, but if you're in Ohio it cant be all that good....

I was surprised how much I enjoyed Cleveland from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to the Science Center to the Symphony and the parks and the lake and all the redevelopment - it is a very nice city.

Downtown is very nice and clean, the people are very polite and friendly...seems like the economy is really bad though with all the abandoned factories. I went there last week and it didn't seem like there was even a rush hour, I guess most the people there are too old/ young to work or are unemployed.
