I found my tape player/radio in the litter bin outside McDonalds on Praed Street in Paddington. You ought to look there.

First choose how much you wanna spend.
and what you want, Tuner, Dab, Cd, DVD, CDR/DVDR, Record Deck,?
Avoid gimmicks, Graphic Equalisers usually just add more noise to the sound
Then go to Richer sounds, I've alway found them very helpfull

Any Hitachi, Sony, or Pioneer should do you proud for the money.
Browse Dixons/Curries and inspect the goods first to get an idea of what to look for.
