You should stay in bed as much as possible. You are having labor pains. At 36 weeks your baby is fully formed and is just fattening up for the birth. So, if it comes early it will not be too bad.

I had shots every night from 32-34 weeks. After that, the midwife told me to just take my asthma inhaler if I started to contract, and I did that to 36 weeks, then the contracting stopped altogether. At 37 weeks I was 100% and 3cm. I didn't go into labor until the end of week 39.

First of all HUGS {{{}}} Don't be so scared. At 36 weeks they baby will be born small and might need some help but he will be fine.

No one can tell you AND I MEAN NO ONE, when you will go into labor. It is one of the mysteries of life.

I do want to agree that you should take it easy. Someone who is not at risk for pre-term labor doesn't really have to "take it easy" at the end of a pregnancy but you....you need to take it easy. I hope you have some one wonderful to help you out and pamper you :-)

For every day that you keep that baby inside of you they say it is two days less that the baby will need to be in the NICU.

My sister in law is going thru the same thing but she never had a shot. She is icm and having awful back pain.

The cramping is probrably the baby getting lower.

You will know when you are in labor. It will feel like your insides are being twisted.

But if they gave you a shot to stop labor then you should not feel labor pains anymore. Better safe then sorry..call your ob/gyn

It could be tomorrow or it could be four weeks from now. Its hard to tell. I was 4cm dilated by the time I was 36 weeks and my son was born three days early. When your body and your baby is ready it will happen. Can't be too much longer though. Good luck!

just dont lift anything heavy or stand on your feet for too long, because it might trigger labor. just lay back and relax. if you panic or stress too much the baby will stress and possibly trigger labor. watch a good movie and dont even think about it.
good luck though.

To be safe go on to the hospital. If its not true labor don't worry about it they see false labor every day and NO ONE will think you're dumb!

Honestly no one here can determine when you will go into labor again...we are not doctors or your body. When you do...good luck with the new baby.
