Would really love a vaginal birth and feel doctors won't take the chance these days, just want to do the right thing. Breast feeding not possible after my last 2 because of pain and uncomfortable positiong - although did try everything! The guilt is terrible!

Yes it is very possible. But the odds of finding a dr. who would be willing to do it is VERY rare. It is rare to find on willing to "allow" a VBAC after one section let alone two.

Go visits the ICAN web site. You will find a ton of useful information of it. http://www.ican-online.org/

I have a friend that had a wonderful homebirth after two c-sections. She had her first two c-sections because the dr. said that the babies were too big for her to push out. Her natural born baby was BIGGER than the other two.

Some doctors will tell you anything to be able to cut you open.

Good luck, you are in for a huge fight but it will be worth it. Nothing more wonderful than bringing your baby into the world naturally.

Well, after having two c-sections it might not be possible for you to have a vaginal delivery. You can talk to the doctor and let him/her know that you want to let things happen naturally and see if you can deliver vaginally. They will tell you their opinion in the matter and explain why or why not that is or is not a good idea. Sometimes that's just better for mother and baby both. If you have complications during labor it's better to do a section then take any chances. It's not your fault if you can't deliver vaginally. Some women just can't. Best of luck!

We did it worked great. It is safer under the right conditions. If the previous incision is low the better the chances are. There is a book out on it. The worst that could happen is that she has to get a c-section at the last minute which she already had.

There is a book called Vaginal Birth After Cesarean: The Smart Woman's Guide to Vbac (Paperback) by Elizabeth Kaufmann

Sometimes it is possible to have a vaginal after c-section some of it may depend on the incision and whether it is vertical or horizontal..I think you should let your dr know how important this is to you so you can weigh the risks and benefits. I don't have kids and am pregnant with my first but don't try to let the guilt get to you becuase if you think about it how they got here and how you were able to feed them is only a portion of the whole picture you have a lifetime of great oppurtunities that they will remember and cherish.

Don't feel guilty, that's silly. So many Mum's beat themselves up about these things. Physically, it wasn't possible and just because you don't breast feed doesn't make you a bad mum! I didn't breast feed (I didn't want to )...and I don't doubt that my girls are as bright, loved.,well behaved and nutritionalised as any other.
You can have a normal birth after a C-section..explain to your GP that if possible, this is what you want but if it's not possible....so what, you still carried and gave birth to your kids the same as the rest of us. Don't beat yourself up over it and be grateful for your beautiful kids...so many people can't have them.
Good Luck! x

Yes, a VBAC is very possible. The risk of uterine rupture is still very small for you, however, doctors can't take any risk these days because women rarely sue their doctor for doing an unnecessasary section and having a healthy baby, but nearly every woman would sue if she had a VBAC and the baby wasn't ok.
You could always see a midwife.

Yes it's possible, but good luck finding a doc that will do it. If you are really serious about it then don't stop trying until you find someone who will support you. Why did you have your last 2 sections?? (sorry if it's too personal) If it's something that you have no fear of happening again then go for it. Check into a midwife. Good luck!

my cousin wanted a vaginal birth, but her pelvic bone is in the shape of an "A" and she cant. if she has another child they wont allow her to even try vaginally because of the risks and knowing the baby wont fit through.
if possible, ask how come they wont let you atleast try.
they gave my cousin 2 hours to try vaginally, then they took her for a c-section. ask for just a few hours to try. it wouldnt hurt to ask.

the possibility of uterine rupture is amazingly low...until eventually your rfile is utilising Cytotec or a "rambo" dose of pit. i could inspire you to evaluate a VBAC. start up reading some solid books alongside with "soft beginning options" by utilising Barbara Harper or "The beginning e book" by utilising bill and Martha Sears. in case you come back to a decision on a VBAC, locate a supportive and knowledgable doula. maximum suitable needs.
