Have you guys ever heard of this Arbonne? Someone says they are against animal testing and use all natural bi-products.
How do you feel about using makeup that was used to torture animals just so you could wear it? And how do you feel about putting the scales of sunfish on your eye lids just so they can sparkle?
It's pretty gross, huh?

Check out mineral oil.

I do use Arbonne and I have for 3 almost 4 years now. And if I can afford it, I'm sure alot of folks can afford it. It's not that expensive, it's just folks are used to paying dirt cheap prices for dirt. And arbonne isn't dirt. It's gold.

Arbonne products are vegan-friendly. They are formulated without animal products or by-products and are never tested on animals. Their website (www.arbonne.com) has very specific ingredient listings of what goes into each of their products and what the ingredient is for. Prices are similar to or less than department store prices. For example, their Mineral Powder Foundation is usally a third the price as Bare Minerals like product. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing any of their products and I can get you the 35% Consultant Discount off the prices listed on their website.

Some Arbonne stuff is good. Some also contains plant extracts that are skin irritants. Just because something is natural or plant-based doesn't mean it's good for you. Hemlock is natural (look that up) and mineral oil is just a refined NATURAL product!

You are correct that it does not add moisture. What it does is keep your skin's own moisture from evaporating. Mineral oil or petroleum jelly itself doesn't get in pores and clog them, but it does prevent oil from escaping in some people, which is why it isn't for those with oily skin. Vaseline is still the best lip balm I've ever used, and I've tried a lot. It blows anything plant-based out of the water. Petroleum jelly is especially good for cold weather and other harsh conditions, even for the hands because it forms a barrier locking in the skin's moisture.

Also, just because it's a chemical, that doesn't mean it's bad. You have to evaluate each ingredient on its own. I have tried Arbonne's facial skin care (the anti-aging stuff) and it broke me out horribly, but I do like their body lotion.

I'm well aware that some companies do animal testing and I don't support that for anything cosmetic. Now AIDS and cancer research is a different thing. Anyway,I have NEVER heard of sunfish scales being put in eyeshadow, mica is what is usually used for sparkle so would be interested to see your source on this.

I've just used their skin care line. I didn't care for it at all & it's way too expensive. Wouldn't use their m/up, because I'm happy with mineral m/up from Everyday Minerals. Not really sure about the last half of your question. I'm sure there's worse things that we put on our face & eat everyday. Did you know that talking on your cell phone is as about as dirty as kissing the bottom of your shoe? So fish scales don't bother me. Now torture of animals yes that is sad. If you want to use Arbonne & they are against animal testing, than you don't have to worry about it.:) Why don't you try it out.

I said Mineral Make-up NOT Mineral oil. I heard Arbonne also sells Mineral Make-up. Mineral m/up is natural. Check out everydayminerals.com. That's great you found something you like. There's no need to say that just because someone doesn't like Arbonne means there using dirt. I don't mind paying good money for something I like & works for me. I just didn't like it, that's all. Why would I want to pay alot of money for something that I don't like or work? My friend sells it & loves it. What works for some doesn't work for others.

I went to one of the "parties" for this stuff, ended up spending about $175.00 on products. The cleanser, and the eye cream were great. However, the other stuff was so-so. Plus it is expensive. There are so many products that you are supposed to use in order. It took forever in the mornings. I really like clarins stuff better. They have just 2 or 3 products, and it seems to work better for me. Everyone has their own favorites.
