in the bible it says "thou shall not have sex on your period because it reveals the source of your flow and for that you will be put to death" is that true or not true?

The bible does say something similar in Leviticus in the Old Testament.

Leviticus 20, 18: If a man lies in sexual intercourse with a woman during her menstrual period, both of them shall be cut off from their people, because they have laid bare the flowing fountain of her blood.

I hope this helps answer your question.

Is it true that it says something like that? Probably yes, but shall you be put to death? Well that is up to you I suppose, or the community in which you live. Everyone has interpreted the passages of the bible very differently. Not just interpreted, but translated as well. The bible is not a book of facts, but a book outlining moral codes and social rules, all of which you can choose to believe in or not. You choose to have faith in what it says, or you can ignore it. Simple as that.

I wouldn't be surprised if it says something that could be roughly translated into that. But whether or not you believe in God, the bible should still be taken lightly on specific points.

Over 2000 years specifics are at best bound to be changed around from the original meaning.

If you believe in God, do you really think he cares when you have sex? Or if you eat meat on Fridays? Or even use contraception?

Personally I don't believe, but if I did believe in a all powerful being, somehow I think he would have better things to occupy his time.

Give more details first. If everyone tries to decode Bible by taking one sentence and deciding what it means then I am not impressed why no one understand God. What is exactly written? Who is mentioned before or after this statement? What translation of Bible You have? The number of line and headline, please. Then maybe someone will be able to answer your question properly.

The Bible is a work of fiction. What part of the word "fiction" don't you understand? P.S: Have you been put to death yet, or is this a trick question? I mean, we all die some day.

No. Sex on your period is safer and you will achieve an orgasm easier than when not menstruating. Only problem is the mess and the smell.

The Bible can be interpreted many ways. Ask someone you trust to discuss it with you.

Where does it say this in the bible? What is the actual quote? It's hard to comment on someone's paraphrase. . .

And why on earth is this in earth sciences and geology?
