people who hate them, hate them because.....
1) they are afraid of the change is music that AFI goes through
2) they think they sold out
3) they don't understand the guys, (the lifestyle, the lyrics, the sound)
and yes, AFI is the best band ever.

Because they've totally reworked their sound/image to become popular in the MTV crowd. Oh and the day they are the best band ever is the first sign of the Apocalypse.

I agree that they sold them selves out, but I still kinda dig em. I like metal, but some how, they are really catchy and I like em a little still. I was the first f'ing person to like afi, i swear, and then they sold themselves out and became emo wierdos. sorry.

They have changed several times to reinvent themselves that dosn't make them a sale out or anything of that nature people just change. The way I think of it is, If the music is good the music it good...

Well, I hate them because they are from my area and I used to see them and throw bottles at them at shows about 10 years ago...now all of a sudden they are international rock stars. NO TALENT.
