We bought some soap the other day only to find out it expired in '04. It seems to still do the job. Does it?

some of them they do for example the ones that they have acne treatments they do due to the fact of the bacterial killer molecule that they have plus the frequency that they hold when the acne bacterial killer expires the Soap can bring rash into your skin and that's when you tell when the soap is expire but the other ones that we use for shower or cleaning supplies they don't

I could not find the answer---I did find this.
Sorry I tried

Where is the expiration date of PURELL?PURELL is regulated by the FDA as an Over-the-Counter (OTC) drug product. FDA regulations state that if a manufacturer can demonstrate 3 years of shelf life stability AND there are no dosage limitations, then an expiration date is not required on the package.

When we change or develop new packaging, expiration dates will be applied to the package until we have demonstrated 3 years of shelf life stability.

Technically no but it does dry out. If you live in a very dry area the soap will dry out and basically turn into an unuasble rock.

I don't think so because once we had a soap for over 6 months and it was still in good condition.
