I was 10 years old and living in Romeoville, IL. I remember listening to my parents talking about "the hippies" and that they were all muddy and naked. Even at 10 years old, I made up my mind that I wanted to be like that.

Unfortunately, i was at the dorm at west Georgia college. I had been to the Atlanta, Georgia pop festival just before, and went to the Lewiston Texas pop festival just after that. All three had just about the same bands. I passed on going to Woodstock. some of my college mates that I went to the Atlanta one with went and in a lapse of judgment I passed on this one. One of my worst decisions.

I was 8 years old and about to start 4th grade. I hate it that I was born too late and missed it. My husband was offered tickets but he turned them down to go to the Atlanta Pop Festival.
