It's actually 'Lo and behold'. Lo is slightly archaic for 'look' and 'behold' for 'see' (or the like) so means something like 'look, see!'

It's actually "Lo and behold". Lo means look, which makes the expression make a lot more sense.

It is actually spelled "Lo and behold"...
But its a fancy way of introducing something... like if he was telling a story, then he may start his ending with something like "And then lo and behold, I found my keys" or something to that effect...

Meaning: To call attention to a surprising truth.
Origin: "Lo" is a word meaning "to call attention to" or "to express surprise".
"Behold" is a word meaning "to gaze upon or observe".
Both words are not well known or frequently used, especially "lo".

It's actually "lo and behold", sort of an old English way of saying, "looky what we have here".

Lo and Behold
in today's modern society, i take it to be a fancy to say
"look at that"
or
"see"
or
"ta daaaaa!"
and probably insinuating that the outcome was directly connected to ur friend....or something that he said would happen, and goes "see, i told you"
