I'm undecided on the Santorum-Casey Senate race. I like Santorum's conservative principles, but he's said some foolish things in the current term, and the release of the WMD report (which was actually about old, degraded shells) smells like the actions of a desperate incumbent who knows he's in trouble. I also take a rather cynical view of the Republican funding of Romanelli's (Green) campaign - check out my profile for my question on that. However, I've caught Casey doing at least one radio ad that has blatantly lied about Santorum - specifically, his web site - which rankles me.
This is quite a move for me, as I voted rather enthusiastically for Santorum in both '94 and '00. Then again, the Democrats picked poor candidates for the seat in those campaigns, and they have a considerably better one now.
I don't know enough about my current Congressman (Gerlach) or his opponent to form an opinion there yet. I know it sounds odd that I wouldn't know about my Congressman, but I've only been back in this area for less than a year and a half, and when I lived here before, the district was a different shape, with a different rep.
As for governor, I'm for Swann all the way. Not that he's a great candidate, but I can't stand Rendell.

I may vote for my incumbent state senator, but he was only elected a couple months ago in a special election.
Other than that no, and with the exception of Jerry Brown for Attorney General, I will mostly be voting 3rd party.

The sad thing is we need people that will actually represent the people!!!!!! I am so tired of voting for someone because of what they are supposed to do and then they get up there and just freak out and do not vote the way the people who put them in office would have voted!!!!!!

What's a democrate?
Anyway, I tend to mostly vote republican, but not across the board. It really depends on a person's voting record. My state does not have a republican representative (yes, we have one) but I don't think I'll vote against our incumbant because she votes for things that favor the state, not the party. She is a moderate though, which I think is what everyone is really looking for anyway.

No way, and I have been a commtied member of the same party since I first registered to vote when I was 18.
The sad thing is that too many people see the "R" or the "D" and they let that determine their choice instead of who the candidate is and what he/she really stands for and will do.

Ummmmm....NO actually, now that I've thought about it. Nope. Couldn't pay me to concidering all the incumbents in my state who are up for reelection are all part of Bush's possie.
Actually I'm thinking about sending a HUGE SUGAR CAKE to Speaker of the House Dennis (do-nothing) Hastert and lable it "Sugar free"!
