so·cial·ism Audio pronunciation of "socialism" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ssh-lzm)
n.

1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
2. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.

SO you see, Socialism, being in between capitalism and communism, is seperate and therefore can't be the same as either.

PICK ONE AND STICK WITH IT.

then you can maybe focus on fixing your own party

I choose your question over all the rest.

You know what? If we all would stop throwing rocks perhaps we could find some common ground.

I am an American, perhaps you are as well.

Just Imagine if we could find the same common ground our founding fathers did?

Sure it takes a lot of work but don't you know it is worth it. Visit this my friend,

Socialism is a economic system not a from of government

socialism is usually associated with state or collective ownership of the means of production. This control may be either direct, exercised through popular collectives such as workers' councils, or it may be indirect, exercised on behalf of the people by the state.

communism is a from of government that embraces socialism.

The Nazi Party was all so Socialist. The National Socialist German Workers Party Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; NSDAP generally known in English as the Nazi Party.

So you can be a Socialist and not a Communist but a Communist is a Socialist.

Both parties need fixing, but you have a point - people ought not throw around terms that they don't understand.
