What kind of excercise are you doing and how often? Do you keep track of your calorie intake? You may not be excercising as effectively or as frequently as you should to get to your lowest "healthy" weight.

It not about watching what you eat, its about eating right. You need to lessen the amount you eat each meal, but increase the number of meals you eat in a day. It may be hard while in school, but maybe bring some fruit and keep in your locker. Something that you could eat in between classes. The exercise you get. You should be attempting to get your heart rate to 60% for atleast 20 mins 3 times a week. Or you can start lifting weights. More muscle means more energy consumption. If you keep you calorie intake level, this increase in energy consumption will come from stored fats. Unless you take your heart rate to high above your target of 60%. If you do you will send you body into an emergency mode. It will stop burning fat and start burning a more effiecient energy source...your muscle.
Finally, drink plenty of water. If you do not get enough water in a day your body begins to store it, which increases your weight. If you start drinking 64oz of water everyday, you'll drop 5-10lbs the first week.

If you already excersize and watch what you eat, then you need to excersize more or watch even better- Its all just science- 150 is a little heavy for 5'4". Your friends sometimes say ," Oh your not fat" because they don't want you to look better than them. Or they don't want to look like a pig around you when you are not eatting as much and they are.
