Earlier I attended an interview for a trainee manager's position in a soap/cosmetics shop but got turned down- My main worry is that people will not take me seriously because it's an online business, yet I do a hell of a lot of work. The reason I want to change my job is because I am sick of staring at computer screens!

Any advice?

How about outsourcing some of the listing things on ebay? Check out different virtual assistants. Put an ad on craiglist and you can get someone to help you.

The reason they won't hire you to train or manage is because you are not working with or over anyone. You work for yourself. That does not prove to them that you are capable of the sort of environment a trainer or manager will have to endure.

I agree hire someone to due the on line stuff and spread your wings. Life is too short to keep waiting around. Go for it.
