I ask this cause I'm 35 weeks pregnant and since last night I've been having pain, like really bad period pain that doesn't go away and this dull pain in my back that just started about a couple hours ago. Are these some of the signs? What are some other signs?

Here are some of the Warning Signs

Contractions (your abdomen tightens like a fist) every 10 minutes or more often
Change in vaginal discharge (leaking fluid or bleeding from your vagina)
Pelvic pressure—the feeling that your baby is pushing down
Low, dull backache
Cramps that feel like your period
Abdominal cramps with or without diarrhea
What Should I Do If I Think I'm Having Preterm Labor?
Call your health care provider (nurse, doctor or midwife) or go to the hospital right away if you think you're having preterm labor, or if you have any of the warning signs. Call even if you have only one sign.

Your health care provider may tell you to:

Come into the office or go to the hospital for a checkup.
Stop what you're doing. Rest on your left side for one hour.
Drink 2-3 glasses of water or juice (not coffee or soda).
If the symptoms get worse or do not go away after one hour, call your provider again or go to the hospital. If the symptoms get better, relax for the rest of the day.

Hope you feel better, this should not substitute contacting your physician when you are feeling any pain.

yes it sounds like it. It is usually like a really bad back ache or if you have ever had kidney stones. Some women don't notice it, sometimes your belly will just get really hard then really soft. could be braxton-hicks contrations but I would get to your DR. ASAP. Don't risk it, just make sure neither of you are in distress.

I went into preterm labor 5 times during my pregnancy. Trust me on this. But at 35 weeks you are pretty close, they may jsut let you progress, it may stop. It depends I had a c-section at 37 weeks. They told me it was risky cause he was a premie...yeah at 7lbs 7oz and 22in long...they were wrong.

Go to DR. be on the safe side...best of luck.

You should go to the hospital. On the source below it lists some other signs/symtomps or preterm labor.

These are definitely signs. Start timing your cramps if they are at least 5-7 Mins. apart call the doc.

Call your doctor. It is not very smart to take advice from people online in less they are actually qualified like someone here is actually a doctor.

The only true way to know what is going on is by calling your doctor.

I USAULLY EXPERIENCED BAD BACK PAINS IN THE LOWER PART. IT FEELS LIKE YOUR SPINE IS A TWIG AND ITS ABOUT TO BREAK. IT HURTS WHEN YOU MOVE OR EVEN WHILE DRIVING. YOU MIGHT HAVE A SLIGHT PAIN IN YOUR LOWER STOMACH LIKE MENTRUAL CRAMPS. CHECK HOW LONG THE STOMACH TIGHTENS AND HURTS THEN TIME HOW LONG IN BETWEEN THE CONTRACTIONS. THE LONGER THE PAIN IN YOUR STOMACH AND THE SHORTER IT IS IN BETWEEN PAINS THAT MEANS YOU NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL SOON. GET YOUR BAGS READY JUST INCASE ITS NOT FALSE.
