I haven't had a period for a few months. prior to the last one I had I had gone nearly 5 months with out one. I went to the doctor and she did confirm that I was in the early stages but did not give me a complete education on the subject. I get fat and moody evey month but there is no period.

If you are still in the early stages of menopause then yes, you still may get bloated and have all the other signs same as before. Your body is transitioning and has yet to catch up with your brain and hormones are still making a mockery of your womanhood. This is normal and will pass. Good luck!
