Having your car serviced every 5,000 kms/3,000 miles, or every 6 months (whichever comes first) is recommended, especially if you do a lot of driving.
You should have your car serviced since it's been 8 months since you last brought it in.

do you have a Manual that came with the car. It has the service interval that is recommended by the manufacturer. Most Mechanics recommend 3000 mile oil change intervals not to exceed 6 months in time. If you use full synthetic oil you can go out to 5,000 and a year. There are other items such as fluid levels and tires that have a regular service schedule. If you are really confused about all this just go to Jiffy Lube or similar and have them check everything. They will tell you when to come back.

It really depends on how many miles you do in it. But usually you have a full service every 12 months and an interim service in the 6 months between. But as an ex driving instructor I should tell you that you should keep up with your daily and weekly checks. ie check the tyres for bumps and pressures, keep an eye on the fluids and oil etc

Main service once every 12 months - this dosent mean to say nothing else wil break inbetween though.
Also if the car you bought has not had regular services before you owned it then it may need doing sooner as certain parts in the car need to be replaced after a set milage - not doning so can be very costly.

Service intervals on modern European cars range from 6000 miles to 12,000 miles - even Diesels now. (or once a year)
Is it just the US posters on here being told every 3000 to 5000?
Clearly keep an eye on fluid levels at least weekly along with your Tyre wear. If you have any concerns in the meantime, get it checked out.

Service it when it needs service. Check your own fluids and change your own oil. Don't rely on other bozos to do it for you otherwise you will end up calling a tow truck on the side of the road in a lonely and dangerous place.
Your car is your temple. Keep the riff raff and wannabe mechanic boyfriends out of it.

WOOOOOOOOOO what kind of service are you refering to. Oil changes depending on manufacturer should be done every 3-5000 miles or 3 months whichever comes first. Check you owners manual. That car won't last 2 years if you don't properly maintain it.

Oil and a filter out could were carried out on your very last provider. in case your oil undemanding comes on at the same time as driving it truly is telling you that the stress is low. meaning you want to positioned some more effective in, no longer get it or the filter out replaced.. Park your vehicle on the point and then leave it with the engine became off for more effective or less ten minutes. which will provide the oil danger to run back down into the sump. that is the position the bottom end of the dip stick sits. Get some oil, i do not recognize the finest grade, yet any engine oil is more effective acceptable than no oil! seek for the dipstick which will be a skinny rod sticking out of the area of the engine. it can have slightly symbal of an oil can on it, or merely be an inclination piece of metal forming a handel on your palms. Pull it out and wipe it with a cloth. Now look on the top and also you should work out 2 lines. they is often labeled Min and Max. in on the bottom, and max on the properly. they are going to in straightforward words be about 12mm or 1/2 an inch aside. positioned the dipstick back contained in the completed and take it out agin. you should now obviously see the position the oil has come as a lot as on the stick. i think yours will be decrease than the min line. undesirable woman! on the properly of the engine there'll be a cap with oil written on it or a symbal of an oil can. it truly is going to be oily on the interior. Pour some oil in there. Pour in about 1/2 a pint, leave it for a minute, and then get rid of the dipstick, wipe it back, replace, take out and examine the point back. if you're nonetheless decrease than the max, do it back. If it has in straightforward words moved slightly, pour more effective in. yet you do not favor to over fill it. do not positioned too a lot in. if you're actually not confident, both bypass to someplace like Halfords and purchase a Haynes provider and fix guide on your style of auto and performance a glance by ability of the frontat the weekly, month-to-month etc checks. there are diverse effortless jobs that could be carried out to keep your vehicle going and robust. Or, ask any male acquaintances you've. To us it truly is like 2d nature, except we are wealthy and pay for some different person to do it:) yet you want to correctly it up once a probability. you'll reason harm to the engine in case you keep operating it low on oil.
