The paper is about the connection btwn estrogen levels and soy intake, and how the two may affect Breast Cancer risk in women.... I do find it interesting, but I am just now motivated to write. :-(

That topic sounds totally interesting. I'm intrigued already. Please write it so that you can tell us more and inform everyone you know on the possible connection.

I assume you've done the research already? Well just circle the quotes or passages you want to paraphrase and order them and a story, or a nice organization will come together, and once the organization of the paper is in your head or in an outline, the writing part is so easy and just flies on by. Once you get through that first HORRIBLE introductory paragraph, the other stuff is just explaining the research and so forth, and is really much more systematic and easier to write than a well-written introduction which holds the paper together. So, get through that introduction.. then take a major break and then start on the rest and it will just fly by. Then before writing your conclusion, take a break, re-read the whole paper, and then write a nice conclusion that ties everything together in a cohesive fashion.

Good luck! And go get started!

I was just reading about this topic today. Interestingly, the Asian soy intake, in it's less complex form, reduces breast cancer incidence, while the US version in it's concentrated, complex form (soy), increases estrogen; hence, increases incidence of breast cancer.

Turn off the tv, turn on the music, and get in a good mood.

Write in a humorous light.

Just get it done. You have the drive, you have the time, now get it done. Do whatever it takes.

For me I always watch a fluff show (Bridezillas is one of them) and write it after that. It puts me into a funny mood where it doesn't seem as bad.

You can do it. Sit back, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and immediately, you'll start feeling better about it and you'll be able to think more clearly. If you find yourself freaking out or getting nervous, take a few more deep breaths and concentrate on doing your best. Trust me, you can do it : )

So what are you looking at, social problems, energy balance, string theory, apathy amongst research students?

If you don't write it you will most likely fail.
