I have a friend who called me and said that we should go out for coffee and I should come and get her at school, and I was gonna ask her for directions to her school and she said she had to go. I called her back a couple hours later and I asked her where she was and she said she was at mall with her friends celebrating, and I told her have a good time and I think she's a $#$@% for doing this and I am turned off and I don't want to call her back ever and she gets moody and irritated . What would you do if you were in my shoes?

she felt like she had better plans and didn't really want to hang with you that day.....I'd get another friend. she's not very open or considerate. don't you want someone who is honest and considerate for a friend....I would.
just ignore here and move on.

Yeah, I HAD a few "friends" like that
who are real inconsiderate turds.
If this is the first and only time she's done this,
or if it's seldom--maybe give her a break
some people can't help but just be like this.

But if this happens even SOMETIMES
you really should just let this person go.

Go out to coffee by yourself
and maybe meet someone else
who really deserves a good friend.

Moody and irritated? Not a good friend material. ...she called...she wants you to get her at school...says bye and doesn't call to give you the directions you asked for? ....She sounds like a spoiled brat. You don't want to deal with that....

This is what you do.

When she calls you, wait for an apology (not an explanation as to what she did.)

If one is not forthcoming, tell her that she is a shallow and careless friend and that no one deserves to be treated in such a shabby manner, especially since something had been set up beforehand.

The anger you currently have makes it hard to be civil, so the conversation will end now.

Then, hang up.

The ball is in her court.

I hate it when people do that! It just shows how thoughtless & unreliable they are.
I think you should speak with your friend when you can do so calmly. Tell her honestly how you feel about this kind of treatment. Her reaction should tell you a lot.
Keep in mind that it'll probably happen again. You'll have to decide if you're willing to put up with it.

She's one of those people who makes plans but then if something else comes along they would rather do they drop you. So the remedy is to drop her. I hate people who do that. Shows they are selfish and will never be a good friend to you anyway.

Same thing as you don't ever bother with her again. It was probably a joke and her and her friends were laughing. Don;t waste your time worrying about it. Move on to something else.

Leave her alone. She just uses you as a back up until something better comes along. You dont need people like that in your life, they will constantly disappoint you.
