has removed the question"? If it was a good question, why do they do that?

That happened to me once and it really annoyed me. I took a long time trying to write the best response I could, heck I even did some research on marriage laws and those laws concerning adoption and such for them, and then when I tried to post it, they had taken down the question. There's forty five minutes of my life I'll never get back...

I wish people would just leave their questions up. If they didn't want answers, they never should have posted their questions in the first place.

Whether it's done by the person asking the question or by Yahoo! Answers, yes, I am ticked when the question is gone by the time I finalize my answer. However, I'm sure it is for a good reason at times. Once, I was answering a question for someone who it was obvious was contemplating suicide. Regardless of the advice I had to give him from personal experience, I was almost relieved that his problem might have been directed to someone who could really help. It "costs" 3 points, I think, to withdraw a question, so otherwise, it's counterproductive to ask and then withdraw on your own.

I've done it a few times because sometimes people aren't serious about answering the questions, but want the points for responding. Or because they don't read the question, and don't answer accordingly. Seems to happen more often then not, so that annoys me, therefore I delete the question.

I've thought about deleting my questions. Some of them make me very uncomfortable, and I'm embarassed by them, even though nobody knows me in "real life." I'm referring to suicidal questions...I just hate that I even think about it, and having concrete proof really bothers me. But I don't want to lose 2 points, so I keep them up lol...

They might have been nervous that Yahoo would delete it on them, or they might have found the answer on their own. Luckily I think very little about my answers, I just take longer because it is hard for me to type.

They are double minded people, they should leave it open to see what answers he might get, and yeah it is pretty annoying.
