Waitressing is always a good job for students. You can work in the evenings and on weekends and make really good tips. The hourly wage will be really low, but you can make twice as much as a regular job if you are good and make lots of tips.

I worked at K-mart as a cashier and service desk employee while I was in college all 4 years. In high school I worked at a clothing store. Most big places, like department stores will work with college schedules and give you the hours you want. But, the starting wages in Ohio where I live are anywhere starting at minimum wage, to $6.00.

Places like fast food- Dairy Queen, McDonald's... pay good $7 or $8 an hour.

Good luck.

Go wait tables. I have a feeling you're opening the door here with that question, though.
You can make some good money waiting tables, and most corperate places want to train you for a week anyway, regardless of experience.
Good luck sweetie. ;^)

Try being a nurse aide at a hospital. It will make you grateful for all you have and all you have going for you.

I would try a restaurant ... and if you can handle it, some place like Chuck-E-Cheese... they pay relatively well, but it's noisy.
Good luck!
