Do looks really matter?

Do looks really matter,but not what is on the inside...what do you think?

The inside really counts, but first impressions are probably the most important things when people judge others, so in the end, looks do matter even if we know it's wrong in some ways.

Unfortunately, look do matter. I read a study and heard about another that proved that the more beautiful of the world get farther, get more and lead a more privilidged life of sorts. If that fair, nope. I believe that what is inside is the most important, the outside is secondary. However, there is a physical attraction that can take place, locking you into the physical first.

Definitely.... unless you are alone in the desert where you can't find a mirror ... , not even some water to wash your face! (You can't see how yourself look like at all)

You see yourself in the mirror and you feel good when you look good, right??? It doesn't matter how the other think about your look, but you would compare yourself with the others or you want to look better / special in some occassions, that's very natural.

In a wedding party, everyone would like to see a pair of beautiful couple, they stand out and it's their special event.

"Look" is the icing of the cake, you can consume the cake (personalities / values) without putting icing on it but it is always a better package to have some icing on it. But you will feel empty when you just have icing on your plate.

believe me...living in a country where the culture is based on how you look says a lot. look at tv and the movies? 99% of it all is about looks. do you see unattractive people on tv or in the movies more than you see attractive ones? ummm...no...you don't. and lets not even get into the age thing. it's all about youth, looks, money and power in this culture and world. God knows because even He said we humans(mortals) judge everything by looks and appearance and He judges by the heart alone so you can best believe looks really do matter. should it matter is the question to ask? no...of course not but in this world unfortunately is does and if anyone tells you in doesn't they are only fooling themselves.

Looks do really matter. If it were not for looks you would not even consider talking to that person There exceptions however if you are introduced to a person and get to know them well their looks seem to change and if a good person you only tend to see the most good looking part of their physical appearance.

Looks matter as that is what we see first. A nice smile goes a long way as long as it is genuine.
But if you look great and what is on the inside doesn't shine then you have had it!

no matter how many times a girl or boy would say that they go for personality.. half of it is like that anf half is for looks. to tell you the truth.. most guys wouldnt date a girl who is 20 but looks like 40 and is sweet and caring on the inside.. they would probably date someone else someone more pretty on the outside. so inside and outside matter.

It matters in the sense of someone noticing you right away. I think that looks can draw someone's attention, but it won't keep it. There has to be something inside, something sharp between the ears to keep someone interested.

I've know a lot of people that based on looks alone, weren't much, but hey have this sparkling, shining, kind personality about them, it draws you in.

Everything matters. It's just 'how much' it matters to a person. Generally I say looks are the lure. Personality and everything else that 'really does' matter is the glue.
