Have you seen this? How can this be legal. It's so
obvious even to a lay person like me that this stuff is doctored. How are we supposed to know what's true on the news and what is made up? i guess i am more naive than i thought. i mean i knew that the media was biased... DUH..but to delibrately fake photos?
Does this shock anyone else? Why or why not?

That just pisses me off!!! Why fake the photos? I've seen pictures similar to those of other places & now wonder how truthful they are. Reuters uses to be one of the top picture takes & I held them in high regard. Now seeing their faked pics, I don't anymore. I have a book that they published about 9-11 & am now wondering how many of those photos are faked or Photo Shopped.

Legality of the doctored pics? Probably minimal. Reuters, Newsweek, US Weekly & the others have big high faluting, hoity toity lawyers to get them out of any repercussions these pictures generate. Now I know for sure why I dropped out of broadcast journalism classes. This kind of stuff would make me quit inside of a NY minute.

This really doesn't surprise me one bit. Especially with the media. "grief and misfortune" sell. How many people you know will watch or buy something that has nothing but good things in it? The media likes to play with everyones emotions. Sometimes I just don't watch the news, who wants to start the day with bad news?

That was very interesting, indeed!! In addition to all that is going on in the world, now the common man has the lies of the picture media to combat. When will this all end? I'm afraid it won't. God be with us.

Thanks for link.

If you are all shocked at that link, try looking up the stuff surrounding September 11th. You'll think twice about who actually perpetrated it.

Wow. I sat through the entire thing. It makes me upset that we are being manipulated...whether it's for what the government wants, or against it. I simply cannot stand being lied to, or told what and how to think. It doesn't shock me, but it really, really pisses me off.

Why should this shock you?
Are you looking for honesty in american reporting?
Not going to happen.
That's why I watch the BBC or the CBC

So, you trust that site? Whatever, they all "spin" it. Photographers add to try and win some award. Be skeptical of all news and be realistic about actual motivation.
