no, the flash memory in a flash drive will run at speeds much lower than that of ram. standard ram(im assuming ddr400) runs at 800 mhz, which is pretty fast when youconsider that some CPUs only run at 533 mhz (old ones albiet). i tested some flash drives i had laying around and the highest one ran at somewhere around 100 mhz. either way, newer motherboards are now moving to DDR2 ram which is not the same stuff used in flash drives (SDRAM)
Hope this helps!

Do you know what RAM is?
Generally, RAM in a computer is considered main memory (or primary storage): the working area used for displaying and manipulating data. This type of RAM is usually in the form of integrated circuits (IC).
Purpose of RAM is to supply data to Processor at high speed. Bigger and Faster your RAM, your computer perform well. Storage devices like HDD, floppy, CD or USB drive cannot work as Primary memory. They never macth the speed of a processor.
In general, HDD and other drives are books and RAM is your memory. You read something from book, store in your memory. Also when you hear something from your teacher, you load it in your memory and then write it to your book. And your memory is fater than book, right? :) So is RAM.

What will make you happy is that Vista is rumoured to be able to use such flash memory as RAM, altought Vista will take quite a while. Until then, the answer is no.

No...
Why?
Because, flash drives are formatted for permanent storage. In contrast, RAM holds computer instructions temporarily until they are processed by the CPU...

No.
But even if there was, you wouldn't want to. USB drives are slow memory, it would bogg your computer down.

No. RAM has to be attached directly to the CPU. INternally
