Money, love, peace, God, power, your own band, a porche. Give it a little thought. What do you need to be content? Do you have it or them already. If you don't, how will you make it happen.

P.S. For you deeply religious people, please don't just say God. There is more to life than only God and nothing else. I think some of the other things are why he put us here in the first place. (Atheists and pagans, please disregard)

If I could actually be just a brain floating in a tank on alpha centuri, with aliens stimulating me (with Happiness Serum) to experience an artificial reality that was full of nothing but bliss for all eternity.

Its gonna sound a little cheesy, but here is what I have experienced to be true:

You've heard of the hierarchy of needs. People must have their basic physical needs met - food and shelter - before the rest of what I have to say will apply.

What it takes to experience satisfaction and contentment in your life is a decision that is separate from everything external. You may experience deep joy driving your Porshe convertible down the highway. You may be happIER in a big house with servants, but to be truly satisfied you must accept your circumstances whatever they may be, and decide to be happy. If the physical trappings are stripped away, people who are TRULY satisfied and content will be able to remain so. People who base their satisfaction on physical things will always be discontent, because every year they manufacture newer models of cars, and next week someone will build a bigger house than yours down the street. Chasing after things to make you happy is an illusion that serves only itself.

God, the love of my family, the hopes that one day that they would be truly satisfied and contented in their lives, peace on earth and good will toward all men, women and children. To be able to live life every day as if it were the last without feeling guilty about it.

Had a porsche, can't play an instrument, have love, and I am a believer....so as far as other things go, I would like to have enough money so that I know we can retire and never have to worry about medical care or necessities. That would alleviate a lot of worry and give me contentment.

It may sound strange, but money would not do it for me. I would be totally and completely happy if I owned a small scuba shop on some remote island in the Caribbean. Nothing fancy, nothing rich, just ample business, sunshine, blue skies, palm trees, a small boat, a cold beer and the whole ocean open for me to scuba dive in and give others scuba tours. That's it, nothing else. No fame, no glory, no mucho money...just me, the ocean and a small business.

First of all we have to know what is the definition of contentment and happiness.
There are two kind of happiness: momentary and everlasting. if you meant everlasting contentment, directly it goes to GOD, even before the time created or started God was there, and after death of us GOd is there.
If you are happy with the wordly things, till when? its all momentary. Today you got married you are happy so , but tomorrow your wife might leave you and what?
Today you won $898,435,879,765,768,000 and tomorrow you lost in Gambaling or in fire and where your happiness goes?
Today you bought a car and tomorrow you get an accident and kill a rat, then what happen?
Today you ate but tomorrow you beg.
Thats why happiness and contentment are come from unknown GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheer up. submit your life with supplication to god .Thanks

And why? God is who makes all things truly satisfying and content in my life. It is through Him all things happen in reality, He made all so why not thank Him? I am completely satisfied and content with my life, my family, my work, my home...and I thank God for everything He has allowed me to become =)

I am getting closer to being comfortable in my own skin. It is a combination of confidence, a leap of faith in my own abilities, and a really good sense of humor (my friends aren't so sure it's not a really perverse sense of humor, but I laugh at myself often). Don't take yourself too seriously and learn to roll with the punches. Life isn't fair, you won't win the lottery, and Bill Gates is not going to give you money. Once you learn that (and learn to laugh along the way), life is good.

I ought to be completely happy, I somewhat have each and every thing i want. yet i don't think of that any one is somewhat content. we are all striving and wanting issues which will not be able to be obtained, in spite of the quantity of funds we've.
