Name two philosophies that can be USED in any science and philosophy?

Read what you wrote and tell us what you meant.

Both of these questions are vaguely defined, and one contains a spelling error. You've lost 5 points and curbed my enthusiasm.

Hopefully the Philosophy section will not devolve into a forum for people who wish to prove that their opinion is the final and true judgment of "correct answers" to the questions they ask.

The first question is vague because depending on what is meant by "used", it can easily be argued that any philosophy whatsoever can be "used" in both science and philosophy. At the least, as an "example" of something that is neither scientific nor philosophical.

The second question is vague because depending on what is meant by "negative" and "prove", the question may be seen as either trivial or impossible. According to certain definitions of "prove", nothing can be proved beyond imaginable doubt. According to certain definitions of "negative", the phrase "A rock is not a non-rock" is a negative; which is trivial to "prove".

I question the value of Yahoo Questioners appointing themselves as debate moderators. In this case, who is the "Moderator IQ Examiner"?

1. Popper's hypothetico-deductive falsificationism. Skinner's behaviorism.

2. By a negative I suppose you mean a negative hypothesis - a hypothesis that something is not the case. Yes you can. Suppose your hypothesis is that the box of books labelled "Stephen King books" you found in the attic of the house you moved into does not contain only books by that author. You can prove that hypothesis by opening the box and inspecting its contents.
