you can turn this function on and off the switch can be located as some have said under the bonnet some are in the glove box (there are many locations ) you should also have a separate key to turn this function on
If it is a manufacturers fitting ask your local dealer
if you haven't got a key they should be able to get one
if it's something that was fitted by the previous owner a local car electrician should be able to look at it and advise you

look under the bonnet, there's probably something somewhere that takes your ignition key that'll turn the horn part of the alarm back on. You'll probably have to look quite hard.

did you install it yourself? some alarms do not connect to the horn wiring and so just don't work that way. If it is one that has the wiring to the horn check your wiring and make sure it's connected right.

well, some cars are different, and it may be that your horn isn't supose to go off when your alarm goes off

its possible to turn just the sounder off usually with a key at the unit
