What is the editor on knoppix?

I dont have Gedit, what others would work?
Im trying to program in asm.

Innumerable editors are in unix. From command prompt you must get vi the popular editor for all unix gurus though it may not appear user friendly. Further there are vim (vi improved), pico, joe, jpico and a lot. My favourite is pico and jpico.Try them. They are wonderful.
