For emergency water landings. A very good pilot can ditch a plane on water without completely destroying it. This gives you time to get out with your life jacket before the plane goes down. An airplane is basically air tight so it will stay afloat for a short time if there is no major structural damage. Also the emergency slides become flotation devices as do most of the seat cushions.

Parachuting from a jet airplane is nigh impossible without ejection seats. in maximum situations it extremely is safer to stay interior the airplane in spite of everything. Water landings are a actual risk for a broken airplane, so flotation gadgets are a reliable concept for that eventuality. An airplane will many times flow long sufficient to grant maximum human beings a great gamble to get out. maximum airplane injuries take place at take-off or touchdown. it extremely is quite uncommon for an airplane to have a important failure whilst flying at an altitude the place utilising parachutes could be an decision. So, for the very uncommon situations whilst a parachute could be a probable decision, it basically isn't helpful to function that fairly greater cost and weight. Like each and everything it extremely is somewhat a commerce off. How plenty did you desire to spend on that airline fee tag besides? How plenty greater could you be keen to pay to have a parachute for an exceedingly uncommon eventuality?

With ALL that space in the hand luggage cupboards I think its the right time to move them from under the seats. I always worried in case mine was not under my seat when I needed it. Is it true that the Easy Jet ones are orange?

In case you fall in to space.....its all water out there !
Not that anyone will be able to rescue you,
unless you float near enough to the space station,
and if there is anyone on it,
maybe they will pull you in,
If your still alive, holding your breath that is,
then just wait for the next shuttle,
JUST don't tell anyone that its all watery out there !
top s*******t, FBI, CIA, government stuff...
you know, nudge nudge wink wink,
funny hand shake.

"IM MANDY, FLY ME"

Im not really, (in a deep manly voice)
but i just remembered the 10 CC song.....seemed fitting,
and that was a strange song.....

boy, you really have got my grey matter going tonight,
must be the drugs,
not that i take drugs, anymore, well not for a long time,
then what is time.....
i better stop.
Nite.

Well if you land in the sea and the plane sinks, you will be in life rafts and will need a life jacket.
But I think that it is quite silly, you can't get them out because they give you such little leg room!
