Talk to your gym teacher about exercises that you can do to firm up your muscles and get in better shape. The rest will follow all by itself.

I would say you are. But do not get discouraged. I have fought the weight problem all my life. Find an activity you like (or can tolerate) like walking and take a two mile walk every day. Then stop eating junk food (chips, Wendy's, Burger King, MacDonald's, ice cream, and candy), eat a low fat, high protein diet with lots of fruit and veggies. Also drink at least 8, 8ounce glasses of water every day. The pounds will roll off!!

Yes you are.. If you dont' like to play sports you should try to go on walks with your dog. cut down on the fatty foods and eat more veggies. you are at the age that you body is changing and will keep changing untill you're much older. try doing a few sit ups. it will come off

You're almost 13 and you still have some growing to do. Don't dwell on it, but do get up and get out of the house. You don't have to become a jock, but do something. Ride a bike, play some baseball, go for a walk, go swimming.

Is there such a thing as overweight when you're 12.5 years old??? I think you're fine and you shouldn't start worrying until you're in your 20's. If you feel unhealthy or overweight though, exercising now is the best way to ensure you'll exercise throughout your adult life!

barely. but dont ever put your self down. most of you height goes with ur weight. but it wouldent hurt to lose a little start walking for 10 min a day just to always keep your health right. and also try exersising for 10 min a nigt while you are in your room and away from every one. and i have already read every one's coments and answers to this question dont pay not attention to them. u are who you are adn if you dont want to change that then that is up to u just remember if u like your self the way that you u are then i fo too!!!!!!!!!!! email me at

I'M am exactly the same age and I'm 5'6 yes you are overweight at that height you should way around 120to about 130.

Yes, you are getting up there. So, go get some excersice! It's not as bad as you thik it is. Just suck it up and go outside, your a big boy, not a baby, Go get into basketball, your pretty tall for your age. Im a chick and when I was your age, I was 5'3". a year later I'm 5"5', and I'm not overwieght, beacause I skateboard. GO OUTSIDE AND GET SOME FRESH AIR..........

you could check a website. type 'body mass index' into a search engine and see what it comes up with after you type in your details. If you feel that you need to exercise the you should if you can. Gyms are kinda dull though.

Your waist size is about 3 inches smaller than my husband and he is 31 yrs old and 5'11. I would say you could use to lose some weight.
