Has anyone ever sold an item on Ebay, received a notice that the buyer's (who is overseas) funds transaction has been approved, but will not show up on your account until you SHIP the item & email the tracking number? This seems suspicious to me, but if other people have experienced this with no problem, I'd like to know...

Its a scam. I have been selling on ebay for 10 years and never had a problem until recently. There is a guy on ebay with 0 feedback who is clicking on peoples' BUY IT NOW option, then lies to the seller and sends them a phony email saying that they paid (when they didnt), and tries to make you send the item overseas to "Nigeria" or somewhere.

Ebay is investigating this person because just recently, this guy has affected 200 sellers.

Its a scam, do not send the item, and send a complaint to ebay instead and use the "unpaid item dispute agreement" to get your fees back. Also, use the buyer requirement to set a requirement on your buyers and bidders so that this guy doesnt do that to you. He will eventually cancel his account on ebay and make a new one and do it again and again.

bypass into paypal, go with the transaction and click on the link to dispute it. There aren't any prices for a paypal dispute so a options as i recognize, very last time an merchandise did not arrive I recieved my money back in finished. do not close the dispute till you've the object or the refund. sellers are to blame for paying for the object competently to you, in the adventure that they despatched it trackable (say royal mail recorded signed for) and performance info of delivery the gained't lose the declare. yet seeing as you do not have the object some sellers recon if the shopper would not take out insurance they're to not blame for lost products. They get a impolite awakening as to their lack of understanding at the same time as a shopper information a dispute.
