I just saw a story on the front page of yahoo that states: "US and France reach agreement on peace talks...". I was just wondering, are those the only two countries in the world today. Honestly speaking, who gives two cents, what the US and France have to say, unless of course they are the ones responsible for making Israel continue the war (hope not though). I read they were going to have a vote in the UN today, but since when is the UN a reliable source of protocol. Didn't the UN go against the whole war to begin with? Very confused by the whole situation, and at the same time i think that the key figures at play are using the countries at war as puppets, ( hope not though). What do you think?

I agree. Isn't this a matter for Israel and Lebanon to decide.

First of all, the UN was against the War, but the UN cannot stop war they are the World's big brother for Advice. They always force their beliefs on anyone, If Israel and Lebanon do not want to stop fight all the UN can do is sit back and Watch, because the Member nations in the Security Council will never pass a revolution mandating Military actions against Israel.

The developed nations of the World caused these problem after WW2 and now we are paying the price.

Every agreement they've made so far,I believe, are temporary attempts to a solution. I'm sorry to say that I believe that the hatred runs too thick between the different ethnic and religious groups in the world and because of this the world will continue to spiral downward towards destruction. I visited a site on the net that I'm in agreement with it's called lastdayswarning.clearwire.net. It gives some solid bibical proof that we're about to enter a new era of turmoil but with a light at the end of the tunnel.

The french are negotiating for Iran/Syria/Lebanon and the US is negotiating for the Israel. I think it's a good method of negotiating. There is less personal stake and more objectivity overall.
The UN is a worthless organization that some people give way too much credibility .

They are the ones working on the draft resolution, kind of like a steering committee. Once they have a draft resolution, it gets brought before the rest of the security council for the next round of edits. And so on.

It's politics.
