Use Coppertone Aloe Aftersun lotion - it really works. About an hour after I put it on my skin was paler and stopped hurting. The sunburn went away for good. I don't know if you should put any below your eye though - first of all, it might get in your eye (which isn't good), and second of all, it may make the skin on your face oily and cause you to break out. If it really hurts then put some ice on your eyes and make sure to put on sunscreen if you go outside before it goes away.

I got a sec. degree sunburn once and I would put on some Alvera cream and i wouldn't ware anything with sleeves cause it bothers the skin and makes it worse. What ever you do don't pick at it cause it will leave scars. Also take a warm bath and just soak in it. That will help the burning and itching.

Solarcaine with aloe vera always worked well for me. Take some Motrin or something for the pain, drink a lot of water and when the initial pain subsides, use a moisturizer with vitamin E and cocoa butter to help with the peeling and drying.

And always make sure to use adequate sunscreen!!!

Drink extra water
Take Ibprofen ever 4-6 hours for a couple days

(Only if you don't have any open sores)
Take a cool shower
Gently apply a thin layer of "Noxema" to the burned area while in the shower
Gently shower it off
Pat yourself dry, don't rub

The Noxema is soooo cooling. I love it.

Aloe vera lotion works great! Just make sure you don't apply vaseline to the sunburned areas because it'll make it worse.
