My Space, just like any Internet site and chat room can be dangerous.
This is why you should never give out any of your personal information, including your real name.
The less information you give out, the less chances of a predator finding out who and where you are.

Myspace itself isn't dangerous. It's the people who use it a way that gives out information that they shouldn't and meet strangers trough Myspace. People being foolish enough to do so are the problem, and parents who don't monitor their kids.

Only for young children who don't have enough sense to not go meet strangers from the internet. People are claiming it is dangerous for the same reasons that they claimed Instant messaging and chat rooms were when AOL had them years ago. If parents would correctly supervise their children and not let them romp off to meet random people then the world would be a better place but instead they want to blame a website for their lack of parenting skills.

Not any more dangerous than any other site. As long as you are careful about who you talk to, and what you publish, you are fine. Myspace is not the danger here, it is the users that use it for bad things that are dangerous.

I don't think anything is dangerous unless you let your guard down. Don't put more info online then you feel safe doing. That means NO Phone number, NO address, NO School name, NO real last name. I could come up with a lot more NO's but I think you get the idea.

I'm guessing since you are asking, you're too young to be on it. Yes, if you're underage, and you put your personal information out where anyone can get it, it's dangerous. Even if you have your profile on private, someone can still look you up. A lot of sexual predators are pretty smart. Be careful.

No more than here. Just use decent security software and never, ever give out any personal details, or any info that could be used to identify you.
Not even to people you think of as 'friends'. Have some common sense and you'll be fine.

In a way it is....people put their information online so the whole world can see it, and bad people can find out your information.
You should only add people you already know in the real world to your friends list, and make sure only your friends can see your details, and make sure that if you do talk with strangers online, that you never give away any of your private details or schedule to meet in real life.
