First of all I don't believe she ever considered you a best friend ,i have a few close friends and i would never tell any of them i was jealous because good things were happening in their lives , mind you i said close friends so there is no way ever i would be jealous of my best friend let alone tell her that - that was just wrong of your so called best friend, I don't care what her excuse is it was wrong and yea if you have been trying even after that ( which i would have never spoke to her again but that's me) but still you try to include her i say dump her and whoever else that can't be happy for you. or at the least don't go out of your way let them call you and when she does you have every right to let her know how you feel i say good riddance to friends like that ( i bet they attended your wedding right ? of course ) it makes me mad to hear that people can be so hurtful to people that they are supposed to care about....good luck with your marriage and make new friends....

It's not fair, but sometimes when someone drops out of the singles world, they drop out of the group. You have less in common with the girls. Also, they've already told you that they're jealous- who wants to hang with them? Hopefully, they'll come around- if they don't they're not your friends. Each girl is an individual. You can be friends with the ones who want to still remain friends. Maybe your hubby has a guy friend for her!

Anyway-- why do single women get jealous of "married women"
like that? Marriage isn't the goal is it ladies? It certainly isn't the "brass ring" that everyone should shoot for. It's a lot of hard work. There's a book called "Why do I think I'm nothing without a man?". I thought we all were more evolved than that! You're friends need to grow up.

Good luck to the Honeymooners!

They were not really friends in the first place.

Friends would be thrilled when you got married not jealous. Also they wouldn't push you out of their lives just because you are married and they are not. You did not have real friends. You are better off going to find friends who will stick by you no matter what. Friends who celebrate the good times with you and hold your hand during the bad. Get better friends.

The best thing you can do is to see if your "friend" will meet with you and talk about what is going on. If she were really your friend, she would have gotten over her jealousy by now. If she refuses to meet with you or discuss the way she's ignoring you, then you have the answer and should find a real friend. She's not worth the trouble if she fails to respond appropriately and you're far better off than dealing with someone so immature and selfish.

Nah, it's just a transition period. When a people grow up, constant time commitment is unrealistic with the growing responsibilities everyone has.

Like when my good buddy got married: we hang out maybe once every year, but it's always a good time. We both realize that the marriage has changed how much we can share to each other.

Don't take it personally, just accept the friendship has changed as a result.

You know, this is the reason I hardly have any female friends. My closest one right now does the same thing to me. When I had a bf she seemed jealous and acted that way. You really cant dump them because they already dumped you. Just move on and realize that they were never really good friends anyway.

First of all they were no longer your friends when they started to leave you out of things. Being married should not make a friendship go down hill. They should be there for you no matter what major changes happen in your life. Maybe you should talk to them and see why their heads are up their asses. Good luck.

No, don't dump them all but stop trying to be their friend. Alot of people are like that, especially women. They don't want to hang around their married friends as much because they don't want to be accused of trying to get you to party and cheat, or they don't won't to be accused of trying to mess with your husband. Its little things like that. So, just don't worry about it. If they call you and want you to do something with them, then you go. If not don't worry about it and don't call them.

Why would you even have to ask this question. Who needs friends like this. How shallow and sorry-assed they are!!!! You should find new friends, preferably happily married , of the same interests as you and your husband. Good luck and have a great life.

Sounds like they are the one with the problem. They must not agree with who you married. Find some new friends you and your husband can hang with.
