I was in 8th grade last year and I was wearing a really cute skirt. And if I stood up my fingertips would touch the bottom of it so, it was long enough. Because The rules are your skirts have to be mid thigh length. And mine was. Well my first two classes I have women teachers and they said I looked cute in my skirt, and then, in my third class I have a guy teacher and he told me to change. When my best friend that was right next to me was wearing a shorter skirt! Is that fair or not. And no nothing was showing. ; )

Some skirts look shorter on certain girls. I have long legs so if I wear a skirt that's mid-thigh, it looks shorter because there's more leg showing.

However, your teacher shouldn't be able to dictate what you wear. Unless the skirt was really inappropriate (and it doesn't sound like it was), he had no right to make you change.

Ok, so it wasn't fair, but whoever said life was fair was a total ditz. Life is never gonna be fair, and you just need to learn to forgive and forget. If you're still harboring a grudge against this teacher for something that happened a year ago, you need to pray and ask God to bless him in what he needs, which in this case is a sense of fairness. It's just plain not healthy to hold a grudge this long (you shouldn't hold grudges at all...f.y.i.)On the other hand, I don't think anyone should wear a skirt any shorter than 1-2 inches above the knee, but that's my personal opinion.

Men have different views then women. No, it wasn't fair if he didn't say anything to your friend when her skirt was shorter, but maybe you are build differently then your friend. Life isn't fair, just remember, different people have different ideas of what's proper and what isn't.

Well, i have to say, if it is a cute mini-skirt, it is allright, because it looks fine, but if its like super-mini-micro-skirt, i think you should change, because you would look as a hooker, but you should talk to that teacher and ask him why he said that to you instead of your bestfriend. :-D

Sounds a bit unfair. My advice would be to ask him why he singled you out, or, if you're uncomfortable with that, tell your parents to.

Don't think that I'm being sarcastic, because I'm not. I HOPE this is your biggest problem!
