If this engine works, leave it and remove the turbo. Otherwise, you need to pull that and the electronic module in order to get the proper performance from the other engine.

I believe Ford carries the same motor that came out of their 198? - 1993 Mustang LX. It's a 2.3L 4 cylinder motor. You can go to the wreckers and probably find the motor but remember to get the computer module from the non-turbo or have your old module re-programmed to run with non-turbo motor. I suggest you keep the turbo and just buy the repair kit for the turbo, you can find one on ebay for less that 100.00...
