It's happening right now. It's called "conservatism."

As far as I know humans that live in tribes ,close to nature are at the same evolutionary level as city dwellers.
We are all part of the species that aggressively eradicated the more gentle Neanderthals 55,000 years ago.
I would suggest that city culture ,since it is unsustainable is a dead end , it will perish like the dinosaurs when the climate changed.
A more successful route to human evolution ,and survival ,may come as the naturally tenacious hunter-gatherers succeed the city folk , and continue to gradually develop spiritually and psychologically, having learned not to persue technology blindly.
The root of the mistake ,was the accumulation of food and goods ,that enabled some to make a living exploiting others . Thus the powerful consumers started to become divorced from the primary producers ,and the feedback loop was broken....

Has mankind and society ever completely evolved away from tribalism?
Football supporters exhibit many aspects of tribal behaviour with their clothing, chanting, face painting and occasional violence towards members of the opposing tribe. During the football world cup we saw tribalism on a grand scale disguised as patriotism, which in itself is another form of tribalism.
This is mostly harmless, unlike tribalism when the groups are defined by religion.

Its possible. Politically, the United Kingdom is in the process of de-evolving back to its constituent countries. It isn't going back all the way, and probably couldn't. If we could de-evolve, it would probably not be back to the way we used to live, but a hybrid community. But would it then be called de-evolution?

What's so great about what we've created? People living in urban jungles, no idea what's going on in Nature, no survival skills beyond the local super market, dependent on drugs for well-being and health, mindlessly sucking up whatever is shown as "entertainment". In a tribal society, at least you have to get along with your neighbors. Bring it on, I say.

1. Yes. Because of civilization, technology, medicine etc. many people, that would not survive without all that, still live and make families and kids. Those kids make more kids and the humans are de evolving.
2. Not all the races have evolved at the same level. With mix relations humanity is also de evolving.

Absolutely.
A pan-nuclear holocaust would almost certainly cause this. A few small groups of humans would survive in various places around the world and go on slowly building up their populations in small pockets, and then kingdoms, and nations, etc
Although its not really de-evolution. Just the loss of all culture.

It will definitely happen in the not too distant future ! we humans never really learn and if we do learn any thing is when its too late and its passed us by. Lots of people on this planet are going to be wiped out with weapons of mass destruction.the only saving grace will be no more killing and destruction of this planet people will live as one big family no more worries related to money people on this earth will finally realise that each one of them is so precious that life is more precious than the material riches of the world that was..true love for life will of finally arrived..no more hatred.

Some would say that coming from tribes, into industry - finding we were happier in tribes and returning to it - is not devolution.
Its a completed circle.

I guess anything is possible but I highly doubt we will ever go back to being cave men, considering all that we know. But I do think it is possible that we will have to start over again someday

The fall of civilisation is going to happen. What you wrote will happen but it wont be a planned move toward simplicity. Can you see how events in the Mid-east are drawing up battle-lines?
