I really DON'T see them going to the superbowl, but I think they have descent shot to go to win the division. I keep on hearing people putting there record at no more than 6 or 7 wins. They made it to the NFC Championship four years in a row until they were destroyed by TO and over ten injuries to key starters. The Eagles went to the first three NFC's wihout TO. They have a much better defense now and their runningbacks and quarterback are healthy now. Did they really have any "good" receivers the first three years. Mitchell? Pinkston? Thrash?
I see them coming in first or second in the division.

I think that the Cowboys have too many holes. If you take out TO, what is really left? Their Offensive line would be second string on most teams. I think people overestimate TO. When he came to the Eagles, they were already a Championship calibur team. Adding him put them over the hump, but didn't make them. He didn't even play in the playoffs when they went to the Superbowl

the eagles don't have a chance to make it to the super bowl, and don't have a good chance at making the playoffs. the best they could do is take third in their division. though the cowboys have holes, i.e. the offensive line, they are better off than the eagles. the giants have a stout defense and will definitely be a top contender if tiki barber and eli manning can continue at the pace they played at last year. the redskins i think will slip a bit from their overachievement last year. the eagles may top the redskins, but that would probably be their best. mcnabb just doesn't have anyone to throw to.

Let me say up front that I am an Eagles fan, which definitely makes me biased. That said, there are a few things you can't argue with that I think give the Eagles just as good of a shot to get to the Super Bowl as any other team in the NFL.

1) Best Combined Lines in Football - The Eagles have top line pro bowlers across both lines in Darren Howard, Jevon Kearse, Shawn Andrews, Jon Runyan and Tra/William Thomas. Add in the last two 1st round draft picks at Defensive Tackles in Patterson and Bunkley (who was disruptive last night against Cleveland). Finally, they have depth in guys like Darwin Walker, Hank Fraley, Ed Jasper, Jerome McDougle, Trent Cole.

2) McNabb is Fit and Trim - Let's face it; Donovan was letting himself go over the last few years. It wasn't just T.O. that was thinking that #5 was out of shape. T.O. was just enough of a loudmouth to point it out to everyone. Now, he looks like he did when he first came into the league. But, he also has the experience, knowledge and increased accuracy to have a pro bowl year.

3) Westbrook - He reminds me of Tony Dorsett, but possibly even more dangerous. I know he needs to stay healthy, but that's what Buckhalter coming back and Reno Mahe are for. Reid will use Westbrook wisely and try and protect him from the 25-30 carries that will surely result in #36 being dinged up.

4) Reid - One of the best coach/gm's in football. He has installed a system that is proven to work when the team remains healthy and focused.

5) Zero Distractions - The big and oft talked about one is in Dallas now causing Parcells to answer 55 questions a day about when his mouth will become a problem. Good luck with that Dallas. Philly is entirely focused on winning a championship.

I do admit that the NFC East is the tougheast division in football, and just winning that will be a challenge. I just think the line depth on the Eagles, focus, consistency in leadership and staff and overall talent will result in a 10-6 or 11-5 record.

Whether they actually make it to the Super Bowl will depend on staying healthy, a few NFC East tilts and one road game in the playoffs (Seattle or Carolina).

I can't wait to find out!!!!!

I dont think the eagles are going to reach the playoffs. the NFC East is a strong division. they have a bad passing game from the lack of a wide reciever. pinkston is their best but he is injured.

This year? Unlikely, I think Washington and NY will probably finish higher in the division than the Eagles.

They can get to the NFC game at best, but even that might be a little bit of a stretch. But they're definitely not getting past that.

And this opinion is coming from a Philly fan. :-P

The only way they go to the Super Bowl is if they buy tickets to watch it in person. It's all about the Rams this year!

Eagles are not gonna make to the Super Bowl. You can't replace T.O. Eagles are gonna be weaker this year.

They will go to the Super Bowl, when they get their tickets from the league.

They will have a decent season, but they will not go to the Super Bowl

Guess their tickets arrived in the mail already, because that's the only way they're getting in.
