Absolutly not!! This is an old wives tale. My son (now 3) was trying to walk at 6 months. I would hold onto him and let him walk around and my grandmother would always say "Heather...if you let him walk like that, your gonna make him bowlegged!" Defiently not true. He walks just fine!!

Babies will walk when they are good and ready. With your support and letting them just rest their feet gently on the floor will test the natural walking reflexes. Don't rush anything...and no it won't make the babies feet funny. Just don't try and MAKE them walk. Just support them when they start to try.

Both mine loved to stand ay 3 months I started putting them in an excersaucer or baby walker shortly after and they both walked before 11 months....

No not at all.Raised two, now full grown children, and used to always walk them around the house early.They dont walk funny at all.Enjoy the little one.

No, in fact its reflexive. If you place the flat of your hands on the bottom of the feet if the child is lying down, you'll see that they'll take the stance as if they were standing up

No. That is an old wives tale. In fact, it will help them walk because by letting them stand, they are strengthening their leg muscles.

No. they won't be able to do this until their gross motor development lets them. You can not harm them unless you force a baby to walk that does not want to or isn't ready to.
