well I have a little girl who also had a head full of hair at 2 months. she started to loose her hair in the back around 31/2 4months. i tried everything to prevent it i put oil on it to keep it from drying and breaking out, didnt work. I even listened to the well known myth of not laying your baby one their back so their hair wont cdome out, but that didnt work either. So I think a babys hair comes out regardless of what you do its just a baby thing. just be patient and wait through it.

Well if bald spot is on the back of the head, your baby is laying on his back to often causing hair loss. If it is some where else on the head there isn't much you can do. Most baby's will lose some hair but by the time the baby is between 9-12 months the hair pattern has become a little more reliable. I am sure your baby is beautiful with or without hair. :)

This is natural... your baby spends most of his time on his back, so when he turns his little head, he rubs off the hair in that spot. Don't worry, when he starts to be able to hold up his own head and lay on his tummy more, that will stop. The hair will grow back. I have been a preschool teacher for 14 years, and I have yet to have a two-year-old who still had his infant bald spot! Look at it as a milestone when your baby starts regrowing his hair... he's mobile now!

Really you cant. It is very common that babies go bald from sleeping on the same spot. If he sleeps on his stomach, it'll just be a bald spot on one of the sides of his head... no prevention... not a big deal.. it'll grow back.

At 2 months old, your baby will lose all of that super fine hair he was born with, and gradually begin growing more dense hair.
There is nothing you can do to prevent it, nothing will stop it, and it is nothing to worry about.
Relax, enjoy your baby, before you know it he will be taking those first steps.

It usually happens because they tend to lay on the same side all the time or the back of there head.. U can try turning his head or whatever but I think its a lost cause.. They like to sleep and lay the way they want to.. I'm going through it with my newborn also..

it happens. Especially in the back of the head where the head rubs against the car seat. It is just the baby fine hair they loose. It grows back more like our hair...no worries

it's probably from his cot when he's asleep. DON'T lie him on his front to prevent this- cot death is a worse thnig than a bald spot. It will go away as he starts to get control of his head, sitting etc

I don't think you can...all young babies lose some of their hair.
My son had a bald spot on the back of his head (sleeping position).
It grows back, don't worry!
