Can anyone tell me if there is a bottle on the market that is better than Playtex Nurser Disposables ? My son has alot of gas issues and I'm wondering if I am using the best bottles.

I'm using Avent bottles with my 2 month old boy... He seems fine with them... My only complaint is that sometimes they leak... I've also heard good feedback about Dr. Brown's bottles...

Why are you using a bottle? The goddess gave you boobs for a reason. It's a known fact that breastfed babies are better adjusted and healthier. If you are unable to feed him due to a physical complication, that's another issue. The nurser you are using is the best. He could be having gas issues from the formula. My mother had me on soy milk, almost goat's milk, because everything else would come back up. Try a different formula. If you can't feed him yourself.

I liked the Playtex bottles with the disposable drop-in liners..this way, you can squeeze out all the extra air out before you give the bottle to your baby.

The Avent bottles are really great too, especially if you are pumping your breast milk!

we tried ( and didn't care for ) those Playtex nursers.......our grand daughter also had a lot of gas....mylecon drops ( for infants ) are safe to use....

we switched back to the regular bottles and she did much better......you may want to check out the new " Avanti " bottles.....we will try them with the next baby !!

Advent and try mylicon which is a gas medicine for children as young as 1 day old. Try to keep baby in a semi-reclining position and burp after every 2 ounces. Good luck.

I used Playtex VentAire bottles with both of my sons. (They were both very colicky/gassy.) They're a pain in the butt to wash (even if you have a dishwasher) because you have to take them apart, but WELL worth it!

I've never used them, but I understand Dr. Brown's bottles are great, too, albeit a little more expensive.

i don't know if the bottle gives the little dude gas or if it is the formula that you are using...sometimes high protien formula can cause gas...i think the air from the bottle just causes them to burp a lot more...

The Advent bottles are really good. They have different sizes of nipples too.

I used the Platex Vent Aire bottles.

I first started him on the kind you are using, but he either would collapse the nipple part or would have a lot of spit up

Have you tried giving the little guy "Beano" to keep him from farting?
