I have had my Azalea 3 years, the plant itself looks beautiful, but it doesn't bloom, maybe 2 or 3 blooms per year.

Could be any one of several reasons. From Rhododendron and
Azalea News:

"Your plant may not set flower buds for a variety of reasons. These are:

- Fertilizer…Application of nitrogen rich fertilizer can cause general plant vigor but simultaneously suppress flower bud formation.
- Pruning…Plants pruned in the fall will not bloom because of the removal of flower buds.
- Weather…Sudden cold weather can kill flower buds.
- Set Back…Though set back is not a technical term, it is used to describe a year’s delay in producing flower buds when planted after having been extremely well cared for, and fertilized heavily in the nursery environment. The plant seems to need to “catch up” after transplanting.
- Variety…Some hybrids do not bloom every year.
- Surroundings…Some rhododendrons need full sun to bloom, while others require partial to dense shade.
Experiment by trying different locations, changing fertilizer application, etc. to improve bloom."

Remember, Azaleas are members of the Rhododendron family. See the link for more nformation, or search the web under either azaleas or rhododendrons for more sites. Good luck!!

Use Hollytone spring and fall. Fertilize 3 times after it blooms with a acidic fertilizer but do this before the middle of August. And do not prune it as you maybe cutting off next years buds!

Azaleas need very acidic soil, maybe that's the problem.
