My hubby just went through this, there was a crack deep between the toes. We were told to soak it every evening in Epsom salts, let it air out (barefoot) when you can, and use an antibiotic ointment. Sometimes things like this don't heal well cause they're footy and just a little infected. It took more than a week but his foot healed up, and it had been bothering him for a month!

First, Hydrogen Peroxide is NOT the same as rubbing alcohol, and don't use either. Don't use any product you mentioned. Neosporin is indicated for Bacterial infections, you have a Fungal infection.
Tinactin may help but Clotrimazole cream or Miconazole cream will work better since they Kill the causing fungi. Keep your feet CLEAN wash with pure Ivory soap, dry them thoroughly then apply a layer of the above mentioned creams....do this at least twice a day. If you must venture outside wear a sock, and keep ;your feet out of closed toe shoes as much as possible.
By the way if you are diabetic....don't do ANYTHING except go see a doctor IMMEDIATELY...even if you have to go to an emergency room. I've see too many diabetic people loose a foot or leg to something that started as a minor wound...it is worth the trouble.

Use a soak solution of 1/4 cup of salt dissolved into a gallon of warm water. soak the foot in this for about 15 minutes a day before bed. Pat dry with a clean dry towel and do not put back on shoes or socks before bed. Get some plain cornmeal and place into the shoes and into the socks. This will eliminate the germs that cause athlet's foot problems and end smelly shoes. Corn meal is also a great bath additive that keeps your skin soft, and will keep your hair silky, shiny and lustrous if used when you shampoo. Cornmeal will also help dry peeling skin(dandruff, psorasis, etc) by acting as a gentle bacterological scrub for your skin( add a cupful to a cut off silk stocking with the ends tied, for a fantastic foot scrub or face scrub that will help with acne). Cornmeal is a multi-use household item few people use any more, but it is very effective and the part I like best, CHEAP!
Did I mention it is a great organic fertilizer for your flowers and veggies too ;)

Well, you should use hydrogen peroxide (a.k.a. rubbing alcohol) on the wound, but since you don't have that use antibiotic cream. Do not put a bandage since this is quite impossible. Keep this place dry, since if it gets wet it'll be breeding grounds for bacteria. Also, use whatever ointment that is supposed to heal itches first, and then when it dries apply antiobiotc cream.

1. Try keeping your foot absolutely dry until your wound has healed.
2. Apply any of the antibiotic ointment that suits your skin and does not cause you allergy.
3. Wear open toe shoes or sandals until healing is over.
4. Try not to sustain any injury over the same part while the healing is on.
5. Avoid walking, as much as you can, until healing is over.

Wear open toe shoes. If you wear closed toes shoes, it will keep it moist and warm, perfect conditions for it not to heal but remain and/or expand. Keep it aired out, and put some aintibiotics. There are many pharmacyst that can recommend you several types of over the counter ointments, just go to any pharmacy.
But remmember to wear open toe shoes or sandals unril healed.

If he is bleeding you can wrap the foot in absorbent material like tissue or gauze and put pressure on it for a few minutes to stop the bleeding. This is a tricky area to treat, and it will be a bit difficult to keep it from getting infected, because cats dig their feet in their litter, obviously, and there's lots of germs in there. Most likely he will keep messing with it, so you should at least go to the vet for some medicine for him. The vet may give him a few stitches if it is big enough to do that, and will probably give you some antibiotic medicine to keep on it till it heals. Sometimes, injuries of this nature will require the cat to be kept in an elizabethan collar (a "cone") until the wound heals. This is to keep the cat from licking and messing with the wound. Good luck, I hope this helps =^.^=

This definitely sounds like Athlete´s Foot. Wash the infected area thoroughly and put Lotrimin or any brand x Clotrimazole on it everyday. It might take a few days to a couple of weeks but it will get rid of the infection! I know it may look like a wound, but it´s not.
