Aloe Vera. The plant is best. Take several of the larger leaves and slice them open. Scrape the juice out onto the skin and rub it in. Keep some of those leaves close at hand and use them every once in a while, when the skin starts to feel "dry" again.

A number of companies make aloe vera products which are ok, but nothing compares to the actual plant. It actually has a "numbing" effect. And when my husband got 2nd degree burns on the back of his leg, it made a lot of difference until he could get to the hospital.

Cool, sugarless tea: - The tannin in tea is the active ingredient, which helps to soothe and relieve some of the discomfort of sunburned skin. After brewing a big pot of tea, and allowing it to cool completely, slosh the affected areas with a soft sponge or washcloth you could also fill a spray bottle, and spray the tea directly on the skin. And don’t throw away the used (cool) teabags. These are especially good for sensitive areas around the eyes – simply place the teabags over your eyes if they feel hot and tired. It works, I've used it with my sons over the years.

Cold Aloe or go to a drug store and buy some sunburn gel... It's usually blue or green and put it in the fridge... It will feel soooo much better!

I'd suggest buying a bottle of Ocean Potion Aloe Lotion. It's the best I've tried. I don't usually burn, but when I do, this helps a lot. It smells good, too, and I think it does a better job than regular aloe. :)

try Panama jack sunburn lotion. It's blue gel. You can get it at any pharmacy or drugstore. If you don't like that, try anything with aloe!!!

Mix equal amounts of aloe vera gel and your favorite lotion. It helps with the burn and also helps with peeling and dry skin.
