I think the three most thorough books for pregnancy are:
1. What to expect when you're expecting
2. Your pregnancy week by week
3. The birth book by Dr. Sears
Both pretty much cover EVERYTHING you would ever want to know or ask about during pregnancy. You might not agree with the author's take on everything (I didn't) but both are still invaluable resources.
Dr. Sears also has a "Breastfeeding Book" that's awesome!
I did find the What to Expect sections aimed at men sort of cheesy and patronizing, so I just read the book for myself and did not share with my husband.
Congrats!

The Birth Book By Dr. Sears
Active Birth
Pregnant Feelings
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way
I did not enjoy What TO Expect books. They just made me nervous. I like books that make you excited.

Ok, a lot of women say "what to expect when you're expecting" but personally, I didn't care for it. I read "your pregnancy week by week" and loved it. It is very easy to read and goes through exactly what is going on in your body. Once the baby is born, it has a continuation book called "your baby's first year week by week" and then has a toddler one. I really liked it and you can find it at borders

what to expect when you are expecting! This is a woman's pregnancy bible. It will tell you everything you've ever wanted to know! Also, buy a book called. Baby Wise for after your baby is here. It will tell you when and how much to feed your baby and how to get your baby on a schedule. I wouldnt recommend any other book!

Don't buy a book. You will drive yourself insane with one of those things. Just take all the info sheets your dr gives you, and call when you have a question. Pregnancy is a natural thing. Women have been doing it for hundreds of thousands of years. I think it's ridiculous that all of a sudden we need a "handbook". Learn the signs of miscarriage/preterm labor, get a list of foods you should'nt eat, and a list of OTC meds that are safe, and you will do just fine. I promise!
