I think that, that is scary. Yes it will kill those who are on the plane but will save more to where they are headed.

It's a tough moral question, but one that has to be accepted socially. Had US military been given the opportunity to during 9/11, they should have shot down the WTC planes and saved scores other lives that perished from the collapse of the WTC towers.
It's the order every US fighter jet pilot prays they never get, for once they press that missle fire button, they have their lifetime to deal with following such an order.

Doesn't that just defeat the purpose. I mean if there is intent of blowing the plane up in midair than it all ends up the same.
