Sounds like too much eh? I had a old man tell me today that he cries everynight because he lost his family in a car wreck in 1989. He does'nt know his neighbors because they don't want to know him and occasinally the local teens in the area go down the street and spread everyones recycables in the street.

I know this is a can of worms I am opening but why can't people get along?
Are we that incapable or uncapable of loving another human, respecting them and their wishes? Do we not know how to live freely and without persecution? As long as I am not harming you or your world, why can't I believe what comforts me, live life as it comforts me and love how I see fit? ANd why can't we all care for our world enough to upkeep it?

All aside, this doen't count for the murdereres, child molesters and mean ppl in general. COMPASSION is required, right? This old man struck a nerve and my heart goes out to him....

I agree. We don't have to be the same to get along! We can have our different beliefs, and our "freedom of speech" and still show kindness to each other.

Exactly. My pastor told me you can obey the ten comandments your whole life and never get past the Pearly Gates. You actually have to DO good things to be a good soul. Compassion and Respect are just starting points.

Yes, we now live in a world of solitude, desolation, and general mean-spiritedness. It is up to each of us to reach out and try to change that but it is increasingly difficult with our modern day world. People tend to be selfish and ask why they should bother getting to know someone else. But you're right, it is about compassion and karma. I truly believe that if you treat someone right, someone else will do right by you.

It all starts with each of us. Reach out to this man. Give him the compassion and caring you would like to see in the world.

Yes I agree with you.. I don't know what happened to that but the world I live in now is pretty much all I know.. People are basically just watching out for themselves.

I wish that you could know the neighborhood that I live in.
It is truely a cross section of American culture. We look out for one another despite our social, religeous or financial differences.
